Peaceful, Easy Feeling is part of a series of paintings exploring the feelings evoked by bodies of water. Through color, I want to express the positive influence natural elements can have.
The lakes of Minnesota inspired this piece. I grew up in a town that's surrounded by Lake Minnetonka. It's a beautiful place, and the lakes are especially peaceful and calming in the moonlight.
